John Roderick talks new album, builds a fence

Long Winters frontman John Roderick has started a YouTube channel to update fans on the progress of his band's upcoming fourth album. These videos will be posted quasi-weekly until the album is released, which Roderick tells viewers hinges on him finishing the songs.

In order to write lyrics, he's clearing his head by doing yard work. In the video, he discusses building a fence, "putting plants in the ground," and straightening his barn. Once his mind his open, he thinks the lyrics will "fall out of the sky" and "be about relationships."

Other highlights: You can almost hear the video's cameraman laughing in the background, and Roderick plays an air tambourine (at 1:50).
