Local R&B sensation Choklate's sophomore album, To Whom it May Concern, is officially available for purchase online and in local stores as of today. The Seattle-based singer has spent the past month on the road promoting the album, and based on show reviews, national blogs, and the current buzz on twitter this morning, she did a darn good job of stirring up interest in the project. I'd been listening to snippets of the album on her website up until Choklate recently sent me a link to the full album and everything I've heard sounds good.
Many of the 15 songs on the album touch on aspects of everyday life--it's honest, upbeat, and features plenty of jams to dance to or even Chicago step to if you can manage it. Much of the production was handled by the usual crew: Vitamin D, Jake One, and Donyea Goodman, and they did a solid job with the album as a whole. I'm not sure which local retailers are carrying To Whom it May Concern and which ones aren't, but it's available for purchase on iTunes and at Amazon as well, in addition to her own website. After the jump, check out a video of Choklate performing on tour last week.
