Considering that DJ Spinderella is coming to Seattle this week to perform over at War Room on Friday night, I thought it would be a good time to post a second edition of Throwback Tuesdays. I always felt like Spinderella was the backbone of Salt-N-Pepa and got overlooked too easily.
She was the only other cute girl in the group (cause let's face it, Pepa is kinda busted) and she was an inspiration to countless young girls who grew up to be DJs without very many female role models aside from her. Anyway, this is one of my favorite Salt-N-Pepa tracks from the '90s. Half the girls I went to grade school with could sing this song without even thinking about it. And it just reminds me of a time when hip-hop was still all about having fun and not full of petty beef.
