Here's a bit of reggae joy for Monday morning that's got me feeling irie in all sorts of ways. It's the first single off of Buju Banton's new disc, Rasta Got Soul, due out April 21 on his own Gargamel music imprint. I've been listening to it for awhile now and between the upbeat ska horns and the lightning pace of the song, it definitely brings that well-needed pick me up and burst of energy that we could all use.
As a long-time Buju fan, it's good to know the reggae veteran is back to his hit-making ways. The last Buju song that I felt this good about was "Driver" from 2007, and although he's put out some good material since then, I have a feeling "A Little Bit of Sorry" is going to be tearing up dancehalls for awhile to come.
