Last night, I had the pleasure of attending a cool film screening and music video debut at the Northwest Film Forum. I showed up at the last minute after getting the word that local party rappers the Saturday Knights were premiering a new video and I wanted to check it out. I had no idea what to expect but what I saw was definitely the most unique music video I've seen from a Seattle band to date. There's animation, a Sesame Street theme, and lot's of elements that you wouldn't expect from a hip-hop video.
The project was put together by local director Travis Senger and the folks at Lincoln Leopard. I found out yesterday from Senger that he's taking this video to Austin next month where it will be officially shown at the SXSW film festival. That's a huge deal as far as much videos go and I wish the local crew all the best of luck. Check out the video after the jump.
