One of the best reasons to watch the Grammies is to see what sort of oddball pairings will result onstage. Most -- MIA and rap royalty, Coldplay and Jay-Z, Timberlake and Reverend Al -- were enjoyable. But the Jonas Brothers and Stevie Wonder? Horrible. I felt bad that Stevie (who acquitted himself just fine) couldn't see the level of douchitude exuded by the brothers three. Whoever came up with the idea to denigrate Wonder's legacy by forcing him to play with a bad boy band should be pink-slipped, stat.
And just to prove I'm not anti-tween superstar, I thought the Miley Cyrus-Taylor Swift duet actually worked in spots. A word of advice to Miley: Your voice sounds great when you stay low and don't try to oversing. When you reach for the stars, however, it sounds off-key. Let your voice be your voice, and you'll be alright.
