Detroit garage rock band, the Von Bondies, recently released their third studio album, Love, Hate, and Then Theirs You, and are now touring behind it. They're scheduled to play Neumos March 8th, and I for one, and interested in giving them a second chance after being turned off by their sound in the past.
For years, I always felt like this group was stuck playing catch-up to fellow Detroit rockers, the White Stripes, and their music always sounded like it. While nobody can properly imitate the Stripes, that canned Motor City rock sound was draped all over the Von Bondies previous material and much of it lacked personality.
That is until now. Check out their latest single, "Pale Bride" and decide for yourself if their March 8th gig here in Seattle is worth attending. Click here to listen to the track.
