Nasty times, y'all. The latest issue of Arthur, the free counterculture zine, is unprintable. As Arthur's website states, the magazine ran out of cheap credit a couple months ago, and also saw a precipitous decline in ad revenue. But, Babcock & Co. soldier on. They will ramp up the Arthur website as the main means of communication and will be giving issue #32 away in PDF format, but without the "C&D" reviews section. Well...wish I could say this is coming as a surprise, but in the United States, the little guys take the biggest hit when the economy goes south. And I doubt very highly we will ever see a "Bailout Indie Media" campaign in Washington D.C..
