One of our readers commented on our recent feature about Lady GaGa to report that she performed a terrible excuse for a show at Last Supper Club on Saturday night. That news disappoints and suprises me, as I saw her earlier that same evening at the Tacoma Dome and she rocked. What the hell happened in the three hours between those two performances?
I was so disappointed with Lady Gaga's show last night at the Last Supper Club. She had been opening for The New Kids on the Block at the Tacoma Dome and was scheduled to arrive in Seattle at 9pm. An hour went by and she hadn't shown up. Another hour and still no Lady Gaga. Now it's 12am on the 23rd and Lady Gaga has just arrived. She comes out to a more than welcoming crowd that's been chanting her name for the last twenty minutes. She starts to sing Poker Face, and it's a so-so rendition. Her next song is Just Dance-- a little bit better than the last one but not as energetic as I had anticipated. At the end of Just Dance, Lady Gaga started wobbling toward the right side of the stage, and in minutes she has passed out. Her back-up dancers lift her up and she disappears from the Last Supper Club. After waiting about 20 minutes to see if she was coming back, the crowd starts to filter out only to see some sort of emergency response vehicle in the alleyway. My friends and I decide to leave, let down and unfulfilled.
What an awful experience. I don't think anyone expected Lady Gaga to pull an Amy Winehouse so early in her career. I've gotten the name of the LSC's manager, but I was told by someone working at the Club last night that there will be no refunds for the tickets that provided Lady Gaga's adoring fans with less than 15 minutes of a show. I suppose it doesn't really matter to them, anyway. They had a huge turnout that lasted for about 4 hours, I'm sure they reached their sales goal last night. - Meghan
Was anybody else at the Last Supper Club on Saturday? Thoughts?
