Keep It Simple
Van Morrison was meshing together blues, folk, Celtic, jazz, country, and soul music as early as the 1970s with his smash hit Moondance. At the time, it was pretty unique that an Irishman in his 20s would be so confident juggling that many styles of music; he sounded like he'd been singing them for decades. Now that he actually has been singing them for decades, does he sound any different? The answer is not really. But why mess with a good thing? As the album title suggests, Morrison keeps it simple.
