As many are now aware, everyone's favorite former Fastback, Vis-queen and Cha Cha lounge bartendress Kim Warnick has been in the hospital recently with some health problems that required surgery- but she's feeling better now, and has sent out a brief update and thanks to the music community who've been coming together to help a lady out from Musicares to a recent benefit at the Cha Cha and an upcoming auction featuring a guitar donated and signed by Mr. Eddie Vedder.
Excerpts From the desk of Kim Warnick via MySpace:
I'm happy to say that everything worked out as far as the operations were concerned but I am still so overwhelmed by the love and help that was offered.
Quite honestly I do not know what would've happened to me if this benefit never happened and I need each and every one of you to know that just knowing people were whooping it and having a good time and at the same time helping someone out who needed it makes me so proud to call this city the place I live.
I do know this: I am done with operations for a good long while.
Not only was I helped out by friends but also MusiCares. An organization that is relatively unknown here within the Seattle music community and that is why some of the proceeds went to them as they took care of me for 3 months. And any musician/artist out there who needs some help needs to call them and they will help you out.
Good news. We'll keep you updated on the Vedder guitar auction details.
