Heavy Trash - Going Way Out with Heavy Trash

"A meeting of the minds between two musicians, Jon Spencer and Matt Verta-Ray, who explore the nexus between punk rock and roots music"? I'm sold.

Manu Chao - La Radiolina

Manu Chao fan and Amazon shopper E.A. Solinas says "Manu Chao's colourful, world-music style is one that is not hard to warm to, and La Radiolina is a primo example of what he can conjure. Beautiful, creative and full of life." Having listened to it twice already, it's definitely full of life. But whoever designed that cover should be fired.

Catch him next: In Europe throughout the month of October.

Tender Buttons - Hot Abductions

Tender Buttons is the brainchild of Kill Me Tomorrow's husband/wife duo Zach Wentz and K8 Wince, and their music is "a sort of cabaret-esque electronic sound - a fractured, neo-industrial, polyrhythmic concoction, referencing classic song structures from the era of Tin Pan Alley, early jazz, vintage samba, and hits from the height of the mambo craze." Yes!

Catch them next: No Seattle dates yet, but if you're in Los Angeles tomorrow, they're playing at The Airliner.
