America Nervoso Back on the Attack

Local metal-punk act Botch gets re-issue treatment.

Botch, the Tacoma-grown hardcore group from the late '90s and early '00s, is getting re-issue love from Hydra Head Records.  On July 10, the band's debut album America Nervoso will hit stores, re-mixed, re-mastered, and with five bonus tracks.

While members of the group still play in bands like These Arms Are Snakes, Minus the Bear, and Roy, nothing is like listening to a bunch of hardcore, fast, ass-kicking tunes only to be caught off guard right in the middle with one of the best piano codas ever like on  "Oma."

Best quote, and it's so true: “Some of the most impressive heavy music from the past 10 years. It’s been four years since they called it quits, and still, no one has come close to topping their dedication, adventurousness or personality. Botch were dead serious about one thing: fucking ruling.” - Decibel

In case you forgot, this is the track listing, with bonuses:
1.Hutton’s Great Heat Engine
2.John Woo
3.Dali’s Praying Mantis
4.Dead for a Minute
5.Oma
6.Thank God For Worker Bees
7.Rejection Spoken Softly
8.Spitting Black
9.Hives

Bonus Tracks:
10.Stupid Me
11.Spitting Black (Extended Version)
12.Hutton’s Great Heat Engine (Demo)
13.Rejection Spoken Softly (Demo)
14.John Woo (Demo)

Hydra Head isn't done there, either. Deadverse Massive Vol. 1: Dälek Rarities 1999-2006 comes out July 24. The set features remixes, live cuts, and rarities from the  underground hip-hop duo.
