Metal Meditation Music

What To Do With Lou Reed's New Record.

Lou Reed.bmp I just got Lou Reed's new disc in the mail. It's called Hudson River Wind Meditations and it's all music he made for t'ai chi and meditation. It's already been slagged by the hipsters for sounding too much like New Age bullshit, but I actually find it pretty good. It's cold and creepy with lots of hidden creaks and groans. It sounds like the underbelly of New York City. Like, imagine if everyone in NYC shut up for once, this is what the city would sound like. Anyway, I was sitting here thinking what use this record would be to folks who didn't meditate or do t'ai chi. Would they still enjoy it? Then along came our own Travis Ritter. He suggested getting two CD players, throwing Hudson River Wind Meditations into one and Metal Machine Music into the other, then hitting "Play" at the same time. The two records are Yin and Yang, you dig? I don't have two CD players, so I can't try it. But if someone does, can you do this and tell me how it sounds? Awesome. Thanks.
