Ok, who gets to sing “Alison”? For Crocodile Café head booker Pete Greenberg’s birthday, will it be The Young Sportsmen? The Capillaries? Sea Navy? Central Services? The Hope? Suicide Jack? High Page Delay? Cantona? Sly Lothario? Who else will come crawling out of the indie-rock woodwork to honor one of the nicest dudes in Seattle’s music biz with a song from the head-swimmingly diverse (and only slightly boring) back catalogue of Costello? We already know that former Fruit Bats member Ron Lewis, who now performs as the compelling act Ghost Stories, has a lock on Jackson Browne’s “Somebody’s Baby,” so whatever is chosen, at least his aim is sure to be true.
