Regular visitors to this blog will know that, in addition to my exploits in a Leilani Lanes (R.I.P.) karaoke duo called the Double Greyhounds, both my brothers, Tim and Joe, are similary well-endowed when it comes to rocking the mike. My mother is also an adroit piano player, and my Dad once recorded a totally self-indulgent version of Sinatra's "My Way" that's at least Vegas-lounge caliber. But if you want to know who the undisputed poobah of rock is when it comes to my extended clan, only two words can be spoken: Uncle Jim. A multi-instrumentalist (bass guitar and drums) who tended more toward Zeppelin in his formative years, Jim now raises horses in Lake Stevens -- and is all country these days. For a fish out of water experience, catch him in action with the Joe Slick Band at Sylvia's Little Red Hen this Friday and Saturday.
