It's not all that often that I get over to the Central, in Pioneer Square. Okay, I'd never been there at all before Sunday night, when, for lack of anything better to do, two of my friends and I wandered inside and happened to catch local quartet the Betty Ford Falcons. They were kinda a cross between early Social Distortion and Motorhead. In other words, fast, trashy, and LOUD (before they even started, the guitarist marveled at how fat his Marshall stack sounded in the club's relatively small confines: "I've never been this big!!" he shouted to the sound guy, always a good sign). Turned out to be a killer set and probably one of the better ways to spend a cold, dead Sunday night in this town.
