Megadeth, In This Moment, the Confession

Bang your head in the venue made famous by Vedder

Rock is dead at the Moore—megadead. Dave Mustaine brings the current line-up of his heavy metal band Megadeth to the Moore just to prove that the Moore can still host a real rock concert. Mustaine hasn’t softened up, despite his recent devotion to non-denominational Christianity. And unlike that other band he used to be in, Megadeth keeps putting out new music. United Abominations debuted at No. 8 back in May and features a duet with Cristina Scabbia of Lacuna Coil. Don’t count on seeing the hottest woman in metal at Friday’s show (although rumor has it that Lacuna Coil will join Megadeth for the next “Gigantour”) but you will see Mustaine’s golden mane and hear his classic metallic riffs. For all Mustaine’s problems, be they legal or just getting shit from Metallica fans, he’s still out there, rocking like there’s no tomorrow. And while Megadeth has had personnel changes just shy of Guns ‘N’ Roses, he manages to keep it from reaching the stage. If you can’t make it on Friday, come pick me up and we’ll hit Saturday night’s show in Spokane.
