In the heart of the nation's most ethnically diverse zip code, Rainier Valley Food Bank is one of the busiest food banks in Seattle and the only one in a roughly 15-mile span through some of the city's lowest-income areas. Their mission is to provide healthy food for our hungry neighbors. Their vision is a hunger-free Rainier Valley. For more than 20 years they have provided food assistance to low-income residents of southeast Seattle. They operate with a paid staff of three and a dedicated corps of volunteers in a 1,200-square-foot facility to feed 11,000 people a month.
