Gas Works Park Graffiti Now Estimated to Cost the City $8000

By now, you've probably heard about the major graffiti that struck Gas Works Park last night.

New details suggest that up to 40-50 youths were responsible for the vandalism during a Monday night party at the park.

The biggest bummer though is the park's newly estimated price tag for the damage: $8,000. SPD is reporting that "parks officials say this is one of the largest cases of vandalism in a city park." Yikes.

Let's keep our parks nice, everybody. If you know anything, SPD graffiti detective Chris Young can be reached at at youngc@seattle.gov.
