Good hiding places are sometimes tough to come by. According to Seattle police, such was the case for a 21-year-old suspected armed robber, arrested early Sunday morning inside a home in the 4100 block of 15 Ave S.

More specifically, the suspect was found hiding in the bathroom.

As SPD Detective Renee Witt details on the SPD Blotter blog, police were called to the home around 4:00 a.m. Sunday morning after a suspect - who was armed with a gun and had entered the home through a kitchen window - confronted two males inside the residence. The suspect allegedly made one of his victims lie down on the floor, while the second victim - unbeknownst to the suspect - was able to dial 911 from a back room.

Shortly thereafter the gun-wielding suspect located the second victim and forced him to lie down on the floor as well. But the call to 911 was left open, and police quickly arrived at the door.

According to the SPD Blotter blog:

The suspect told one of the victims to go to the door and to tell the officers that everything was okay. The victim did as he was told however; the officers felt that something was wrong and continued to press the victim for information. After further investigation, the officers were able to determine that an armed suspect was inside the home.

Additional officers and a K-9 responded to the scene and set up containment. Officers convinced the suspect to release the second victim. After both victims were safely out of the house, officers conducted a search and found the suspect hiding in the bathroom.

The armed man was arrested without incident.

According to police the 21-year-old suspect was later booked into the King County Jail for investigation of robbery.
