Music videos deserve more than your monitor screen. That's why Seattle Weekly has partnered with SIFF and Artist Home to present the first ever Sync Music Video Festival, set to take place on Friday, Feb. 28.
The event will present a jury-selected collection of recent music videos created by artists from around the Pacific Northwest (and a few beyond) and give them a proper presentation on the big beautiful screen at SIFF Cinema's Uptown location.
In addition to the jury-selected videos, Sync will screen collections from featured directors Stephan Grey, Jordan Albertson, Emily Denton, and Ryan McMackin. We would embed some of these directors' videos here, but that wouldn't do them justice. Instead you should just come on down, take them in with the audience, and participate in the director Q&A, which will be moderated by the evening's host, and Seattle Weekly editor-in-chief, Mark Baumgarten.
All the proceeds from the showcase will help funding the next project by the "best director" of the evening, determined by a vote from a panel of film and music industry professionals.
Tickets are $15 and went on sale today—you can snatch them up here.
