PRINT AD SPECS

1. Deadlines
    Thursday 5pm - ads requiring production work
    Friday 5pm completed artwork - Email attachment or FTP ads to us.
    See below for directions.

2. File Formats
    High resolution Acrobat PDF
    (use the SW joboptions you can download and add to your Distiller settings under
    Settings/Add Adobe PDF Settings)
    Photoshop .pdf , .eps, .tif files
    Illustrator 10 or lower saved as .eps with fonts converted to outlines  
    Indesign CS
    THESE files must be packaged with all elements in the ad including fonts.

3. Requirements
    MAC format
    Resolution - Minimum of 300 PPI line art, 200 PPI photos
    CMYK color only
    B & W saved as greyscale
    Fonts embedded - NO TRUE TYPE fonts
    Maximum ink density = 240
    (example 30%C + 20%Y + 10%K = 60 total ink density)

4. Sending your ad to us
    a. If file size is under 10M, email to your ad rep and cc art@seattleweekly.com
    *put the company name and issue date in the subject line
    b. If file size is over 10M, FTP to ftp://ftp.seattleweekly.com
    c. If you are using a MAC you will need an FTP Client like Transit or Fetch (Fetch is free) to upload your ad.
