Website
Nectar's nachos (served with plenty of salsa, herbed sour cream, and guacamole) are good in a pick-your-food-to-match-your-drink way, and its plain cheese pizza is winningly simple. Two apps are like dinner for two, though you can also order sandwiches and salads to up the sophistication level (or calorie count) of your meal. Don't forget to try the excellent, not-too-sweet pear martini while you bask in the friendly atmosphere of the bar's front patio.

Nectar for Happy Hour

Nectar’s happy hour is doubly generous: It runs 7 days a week (5 to 7 p.m. daily) and gives you a heapin’ plate of nachos served with plenty of salsa, herbed sour cream, and guacamole that’s actually good for a mere $3 (all appetizers are $3). And if you think nachos are a tasty way to absorb those $5 pitchers (pints are $1.50), try the plain cheese pizza ($5). At Nectar, two apps are like dinner for two, and though the excellent pear martini and other cocktails aren’t on the happy-hour menu (though wine and well drinks are $4 by the glass), the bar’s friendly atmosphere and relaxing patio make it a fine addition to New Fremont.
