Brasa
2107 Third Ave.
Seattle, WA 98121

Website
Brasa’s ocher dining room, with its curves and mezzanines and showcase bar, may get you in the mood to spend money. With Madrid and Lisbon, not Paris, as her culinary departure points, chef Tamara Murphy cooks as epically as her surroundings, imbuing her meats with the smoke of her wood-fired oven and celebrating the marvelous powers of olive oil. When she stuffs rabbit with chorizo, and serves roast pork with sausages and clams, you realize how much flavor can be packed into a few grams of food. You will never leave Brasa feeling peckish or sensation-starved. Plus, Brian Hill's Iberian-themed wine list is extensive without being overwhelming.

Brasa for Happy Hour

Brasa gets extra friendly every weekday from 5 to 7p.m. The purchase of a drink gets you half-priced tapas-style Spanish appetizers: fish stew, Moroccan olives, grape pizza, savory empanadas, duck and shellfish paella. Order a couple and pass them dim-sum-wise 'round the table.
