All-You-Can-Eat Vegan BBQ Tomorrow, Madison Valley Celebrates Bastille Bay

Even carnivores will find it hard to imagine a better way to spend tomorrow afternoon than digging into a plate (or several plates) of vegan BBQ at the excellent Plum Café on Capitol Hill. $10 gets you all the BBQ and sides you can eat--within reason, as the invite states. The 8th annual event at Plum’s first Seattle location at 324 15th Ave. E. lasts from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. Email sli@plumbistro.com to RSVP.

In other summer food-centric event news, Madison Valley is planning a “Bastille Bash” on Saturday, July 13 from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. The second annual event includes a Spirits Garden in the Rover’s courtyard featuring food and drink samples from more than 30 restaurants and beverage producers, like Voila! Bistrot, Luc and Sidetrack Distillery. Lauded local chefs, including Madison Park Conservatory’s Cormac Mahoney and Crush’s Jason Wilson will cook up a storm on a demo stage throughout the day. Tickets and details are available at www.bastillebash.com.
