Madrona Farmers Market Returns, The Masonry to Open, and Garden Tours at Bastille

The Madrona Farmers Market returns today from 3 to 7 p.m. in the Grocery Outlet Parking Lot at MLK Way and East Union Street. New vendors include Tumwater’s Kirsop Farm and Chehalis-based Rosecrest Farms.

In other news, the Queen Anne View reports that wood-fired pizza restaurant The Masonry is moving into 20 Roy St. With a focus on craft beers, the eatery will offer diners the opportunity to fill take-home growlers from a rotating tap. Looks for doors to open around July 1.

Over in Ballard, Bastille at 5307 Ballard Ave. NW is offering weekly rooftop garden tours beginning next month. Colin McCrate and Brad Halm of Seattle Urban Farm Company are leading tours every Monday at 5:45 from June 3 to October 14. Cost is $10 per person and includes a Pimm’s Cup for sipping on the roof. Call 206.453.5014 for reservations.
