1. After sitting vacant for way too long, the former Horizon Books space on 15th Ave. in Capitol Hill is about to come to life as Ada’s Technical Books & Cafe. Owner Danielle Hulton told Voracious that Ada’s will serve pastries and offer a full breakfast and lunch menu. Coffee will come from Kuma. You can check out the new digs during Ada’s Grand (Re)Opening Party this Saturday from noon to 3:00 pm.

2. Eques just launched a weekend Bloody Mary bar. Located inside the Bellevue Place Wintergarden, the breakfast spot offers $3 versions of the morning cocktail featuring different mixes and accoutrements, including salami, caper berries and pickled beans.

4. Von Trapp’s hosts trivia night every Tuesday starting at 9:00 p.m. Teams pay $10 to participate, with the winners taking home a pile of entry fee cash. The Capitol Hill bier hall also rolled out a new late night happy hour menu, with pretzels, fries with curry ketchup and more cheap eats available from 10:00 pm to 1:00 am.
