1. Superfast pizza shop MOD is on the move. The local chainlet announced that new stores in Tacoma, Issaquah and Vancouver, WA, will open by the middle of October, bringing its number of locations to a dozen. MOD next sets its gaze south: Shops are scheduled to launch in Portland and LA by the end of the year.

2. Blueberry crops are booming this summer, with a record yield of more than 80 million pounds forecasted by the end of the season. 3. Ballard Annex Oyster House is hosting an oyster and scotch pairing in honor of National Scotch Day this Saturday. On the tasting menu? Tomatin 12-year and 18-year single malts, The Antiquary 12-year Rare Old Blend and Angus Dundee Pure Malt. Yes, please. $25 tickets are available online.
