Rachel’s Ginger Beer Gets Ready to Open; Star Anna Plays Salish Lodge Picnic Tomorrow

Of all the spots for scoring edibles and imbibables that are scheduled to launch in the coming months, few are more anticipated than Rachel’s Ginger Beer. Seattle Magazine reports that Rachel Marshall’s forthcoming brick-and-mortar soda shop in the iconic former Seattle’s Best Coffee location in Post Alley is set to open its doors on Sunday—check Facebook for an official opening announcement before heading out the door.

The redone interior with a view of Elliott Bay features a mural painted by local artist/illustrator Stacey Rozich. While you can already find Marshall’s zippy brews at bars and restaurants around town, drinking a glass of fresh ginger beer at her new shop is destined to become a requisite part of trips to the market for locals and tourists.

In other news, Salish Lodge and KEXP kick off the picnic-style Music on the Green series tomorrow night with a performance by Star Anna. Limited to 130 guests, admission includes a spread of salads, meats, cheeses, Yakima Valley Cherries, chocolate and a bottle of Northwest wine. More info is posted here.
