Deborah Madison, the meat-free cooking authority and founder of iconic Bay Area restaurant Greens, will be at Book Larder this evening. Madison is speaking about her new book Vegetable Literacy at 6:30 p.m. The event at 4252 Fremont Ave. N. is free to the public, but to give the Book Larder folks an accurate headcount you’ll want to RSVP here.
In other news, beer, wine, booze and bites will be in abundance at the Food Truck Roundup May 19 at the Phinney Neighborhood Center. For $25 a head, you can try eight food samples and four bevvies from area participants, including Barking Frog Mobile Kitchen, Street Treats, Oola Distillery and Fremont Brewing Company.
