Your Daily Dose of Food News, Events and Must-Read Miscellany

1. Fremont Brewing is celebrating the release of their fall beer, the Harvest Ale, on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. at their Fremont brewhouse. They’ll be pouring five Harvest Ale infusions and will have a brewer on hand at 7 to talk beer.

2. Schilling Cider is opening their Fremont outpost next weekend, according to Eater Seattle. The cider house will have 32 taps and an impressive 250 bottled craft ciders. The space won’t have a kitchen, but you’re free to bring food in from outside restaurants. Look to Facebook for details on a possible soft opening this weekend.

3. Full Throttle Bottles will host Portland’s Laurelwood Brewing tomorrow night for a tasting event from 5 to 7 p.m. They’ll be sampling the Free Range Red, Pale Pony ISA, Workhorse IPA, Green Elephant IPA, and Moose & Squirrel RIS.

4. Sanitation concerns aside, a Mexico City Hotel has installed a tequila bar in its bathroom. The unisex bathroom is just off the lobby of the W Mexico City and has room for 10 to 12 guests. Sounds dangerous, in so many ways.
