1. Tickets are on sale now for Westward’s Fourth of July bash. Your ticket includes a view of the fireworks on the 80-foot dock, a paella dinner with sides and snacks, plus beer, wine, and sangria. There will be a DJ and “a few surprises.” Some of the proceeds will go to Food Lifeline. Westward is also encouraging nautical attire.
2. Serafina and Cicchetti are gearing up for their annual garden party and for Serafina’s 23rd anniversary party. The June 29 event runs from 1 to 10 p.m. and includes a pig roast, oyster bar, gelato from D’Ambrosio, a photo booth, and some new rosé vintages. At 2 p.m., Cicchetti hosts the Iron Bartender competition, which pairs food and cocktails from Seattle’s best bartenders. Entrance is free, with food and drink tickets for $5 apiece.
3. Mezcaleria Oaxaca’s Capitol Hill rooftop is now open. The space can accommodate 95 diners, who have access to a Oaxacan street menu.
4. Apparently reports of a run on whiskey are false; in fact, there’s a chance America’s whiskey distillers have actually overcompensated and made too much.
