1. The Rhino Room quietly opened last Thursday in the former Velo Bike Shop space on Capitol Hill, reports Capitol Hill Seattle. The new bar is the vision of Patric Gabre-Kidan, former manager at the Book Bindery, and four business partners. Patrons can sip from single-serving bottles of champagne and canned beer in leather-clad booths.

2. Bastille has announced its lineup of eight Monday rooftop dinners this summer. They’ll take place between June and September and will start with a rooftop garden tour followed by a multi-course seasonal dinner with wine pairings. Last year’s dinners sold out, so get your tickets while they last.

3. LloydMartin is hosting a benefit dinner tomorrow to raise money for one of the restaurant’s first cooks, Christopher Pratt, who was hit by a car last week. Pratt’s injuries are extensive and he requires 24-hour care, which he’s unable to afford despite having health insurance. All proceeds and tips from the dinner will help pay Pratt’s medical bills; donations and reservations can be made online.

4. Do you have what it takes to become a “beer sommelier”? Apparently there is such a thing – and there’s even a test for it. The Master Cicerone exam is a two-day undertaking with several hours of essays, an oral exam, and taste tests. Only 1,100 people worldwide have passed, reports Yahoo! Food.
