1. This Sunday’s Sustainable Ballard Festival includes a “Taste of Ballard” featuring craft beer, fresh-pressed cider and bites from Streetzeria, Patty Pan and more local vendors. The all-ages event will be held at Ballard Commons Park from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm.
2. Looking for a place to watch the Seahawks kickoff this Sunday? Von Trapp’s opens early and will be showing the game on several screens. The bier hall launched a brunch menu earlier this month that includes pork schnitzel breakfast and bratwurst & mushrooms with poached eggs. Brunch runs from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, with the regular menu (and 14 beers on tap) available starting at 10:00 am as well.
3. The Northwest Tea Festival is happening October 5 and 6 at the Seattle Center’s Fisher Pavillion. The event includes tastings, classes and samples. A suggested $10 entry fee includes a porcelain tasting cup. You can pre-register on the fest’s website.
