1. Pioneer Square is on a roll: Local celeb chef Matt Dillon and Marigold and Mint’s Katherine Anderson’s new wine bar/mini mercantile The London Plane is open for business. Hours (for now) are Tuesday through Friday from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. Dillon’s six-month-old Bar Sajor is a stone’s throw from The London Plane.
2. After a couple of successful brunch and dinner dry runs, Skillet’s Ballard location on the Greenfire Campus at 2034 NW 56th St. will officially serve its first burger this Monday, August 12. The eagerly anticipated new space will be open from 7:00 am to midnight and seat 100 diners indoors with room for more on the patio.
