We told you all about The Comet Tavern's past this week, now here's the new details on its future, via new owners Dave Meniert and Jason Lajeunesse, who just posted this to The Comet's Facebook:
Dear Comet Tavern customers,
Since the dawn of Comet Time, the Comet Tavern has been a true neighborhood bar and a living room to many. We’re excited to re-open our doors and invite you back in for a drink, or two, or more.
We now have 24 Taps filled with great micros including the return of Ed and Ethyl's Ales, several ciders and a ton of cheap beers. In fact, we have the largest selection of cheap beer in Seattle. It's more cheap beer than you can take a piss at!
And I believe in cheap beer for the people, so we’ll be kicking off Seattle’s best and longest happy hour Monday thru Friday at 4pm with pitchers of beer for $4 at 4pm, $5 at 5 pm, $6 at 6pm, $7 at 7pm, $8 at 8pm. And free pool from 4-6pm.
Whether you are celebrating or commiserating, it’s important to have snacks available with your favorite drinks. That’s why for the first time since the mid 70s, we’ll have a small menu consisting of classic sandwiches and chips, hot nuts behind the bar, free peanuts for all and an assortment of pickled bar snacks.
Come hang with us... or not. Either way, we have two pool tables, pinball, skeeball and shuffleboard.
NEVER A COVER.
Doors always open 12pm-2AM. Damn, I loves you people........See you on Monday.
