Seahawks Sell Out Training Camp (Because Of Course)

In the immortal words of Allen Iverson, “We’re talking about practice, man. Practice.

Still, it took no longer than 45 minutes for the World Champion Seattle Seahawks to sell out all 12 of the team’s 2014 training camp practices that are open to the public. In case you’re wondering, that’s 30,000 tickets sold in less than an hour ...

... to practice.

It’s good to be the Super Bowl champs, I guess. Of course, this is nothing new for the Seahawks. Last year the team sold out all 14 of its open training camp practices. And at a reasonable $7 a pop - which goes to a “transportation fee” - practice may be about as close as most families can afford to get to their favorite team this season.

Here’s the official team announcement:

The Seattle Seahawks have officially sold out all 12 open training camp practices at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, the club announced today.

Registration opened to the public this morning at 10 a.m. and sold out within 45 minutes. More than 30,000 spots for the 12 practices were filled.
