Police say a graffiti tagger went on a spree late Saturday night or early Sunday morning, hitting a building that's part of the Mt. Calvary Christian Center in in the 1400 block of 23rd Avenue as well as a nearby Mediterranean restaurant and a local residence. According to SPD Detective Renee Witt, the graffiti (photos below) is likely gang related.
Police were called to the Mt. Calvary Christian Center at approximately 7:30 a.m. Sunday morning to investigate the property damage. According to Witt, once officers responded they realized the nearby restaurant and residence had also been victimized.
