Self-Pleasuring Bank Robber is Back

Remember the bank robber who was caught "playing with himself" at a car dealership last month? Of course not. You probably don't want to.

Last New Year's Eve, the man attempted a bank heist in Capitol Hill. By an odd stroke of fate, SPD officers caught the bank robber pleasing himself in public the next day, in the doorway of a car dealership, according to the SPD.

Well, the 45-year-old robber is back and making headlines as always. On Thursday, police say the suspect threatened a banker at the Key Bank near Second Avenue and Columbia Street. He fled the scene after an unsuccessful attempted bank robbery.

SPD Blotter explains the rest:

After SPD detectives released surveillance pictures of the suspect, several Department of Corrections officers identified him as a 45-year-old robber arrested just last month for another bank heist on New Year's Eve...

After the man was jailed for the New Year's Eve robbery, he became part of a work release program, allowing him to check out of the King County Jail during the day for work, and return at night. On Thursday, the 45-year-old man checked himself out of jail around 8:30 am, just 50 minutes before he tried to rob the downtown bank.

The man's time on the lam didn't last long, however. Patrol officers picked him up and booked him back into jail Thursday evening.
