The Great Seahawks Pregame Prayer

As the Seahawks prepare to face the Washington Redskins on Sunday, we're looking back on our favorite moments of the year. Here, before the Seahawks' thrilling home victory over the mighty New England Patriots on October 14, Red Door proprietor Pete Hanning led a group of Chinatown tailgaters in a shaman-esque prayer meant to summon good luck to CenturyLink Field. Hanning has been a Seahawk season-ticket holder for upwards of 15 years, so it's about time his marvelously heartfelt (and highly entertaining) pregame ritual--which includes a "Bone Dome" shrine with faux-ancient sculptures devoted to each opponent--yielded some good juju for the men in blue and green.

Video of the pre-Patriot ritual appears below in two parts (thanks to superfan and former Luau Polynesian Lounge owner Tony Boitano for providing the footage). Even though Seattle kicks off its postseason in D.C. this Sunday against the Redskins, prayers know no boundaries, so a hearty bit of rec-room imitation is in order, Hawk fans:
