Sometimes when there's a parking lot stabbing (possibly over drugs), the two dudes involved just don't really want to talk about it.
According to Seattle police, such was the case Monday evening near 2nd and Blanchard.
Second Ave. and Blanchard
As SPD Detective Mark Jamieson details on the Blotter blog, officers responded to reports of a fight around 5 p.m. yesterday afternoon - a fight where one of the combatants was wielding a knife. When they arrived, responding officers found one of the men bleeding from a stab wound to the abdomen in an alley in the 100 Block of Blanchard Street, and located the suspected stabber 50 feet away in a parking lot.
As Jamieson reports:
Neither the victim nor the suspect were cooperative with officers about the incident. Officers located a cell phone and a knife with blood on it in the parking lot the suspect was found in. Both items were placed into evidence.
From witness interviews, officers were able to determine the following: The two men got into a physical fight (possibly over drugs) at 2nd/Blanchard. During the fight, the suspect pulled a knife and stabbed the victim. After he was stabbed, the victim followed the suspect until the police arrived.
According to police, the victim was transported to Harborview for treatment of his non-life-threatening injury, while the suspect was taken to the hospital and treated for an ankle injury before being booked into the King County Jail for investigation of assault.
