It should go without saying that meeting a woman who advertises as an escort on the internet for a massage at a hotel room in Fife has its dangers. And according to The News Tribune in Tacoma, one unlucky man found out these dangers firsthand Monday.
As the Trib's Alexis Krell reports, Fife police officers responded Monday to a Fife hotel room to find a 30-year-old man who said he'd arranged for a massage via backpage.com. But instead of a massage, the man says he was pepper sprayed and robbed.
According to the Trib, after the man and his, um, massage therapist agreed to a price for her, um, services, she visited the hotel room bathroom. That's when the man says another man knocked at the hotel room door and tried to force his way in.
It was all downhill from there.
According to the Trib:
Meanwhile, the woman came out of the bathroom, pepper sprayed in the face the man who hired her, took the money in his wallet, and ran to a nearby vehicle with the other man and fled, officers said.
The woman was later found by Fife police and arrested for investigation of second-degree robbery.
The man, on the other hand, is left with irritated eyes and an extremely embarrassing story to tell.
