It happened again Thursday. According to the King County Sheriff's Office, a suspected burglar was spotted in the act in Maple Valley by a deputy and a pursuit ensued - eventually leading to a search of some nearby woods . And, as is so often the case, that pursuit ended once the sheriff's office busted out its "Guardian 1" helicopter.

As a friendly reminder to anyone considering running from law enforcement, the King County Sheriff's Office has distributed video of the hunt - which came to a predictable end for the suspected burglar once the Guardian 1 helicopter busted out its infrared camera.

The video is posted below. Of it, King County Sheriff's Office spokesperson Cindi West says, "The best part of the video is at 12:16:10 this is where the helicopter spots the suspect hiding. They switch the camera from FLIR to regular view and you can see how wooded the area and the suspect cannot be seen without the infrared camera."

And here's how the King County Sheriff's Office describes how it all went down:

Near Tiger Mountain- a man that led police on a high speed chase and then ran into the woods to hide was arrested today after being spotted by the King County Sheriff's Office Guardian1 helicopter.

The incident started just before noon today in the 19500 block of Maxwell Rd. A deputy was patrolling the neighborhood and spotted the suspect who appeared to be attempting to burglarize a house in the area.

When the suspect saw the deputy he ran to his car and drove away. The deputy stopped the vehicle near SE208 and Maxwell Rd. When the deputy exited his car the suspect attempted to run the deputy over and sped away.

The deputy initiated a pursuit and chased the suspect on Hwy 18 towards I-90. The deputy "pitted" the vehicle near mile post 27 and the suspect fled into the woods on foot.

Guardian 1 arrived and searched the area from the air as deputies searched for the suspect on foot. A pilot saw a "hot spot" in the woods a few feet off highway 18 and directs deputies to the location. The suspect was found hiding under heavy brush in the area.

The 27 year old Issaquah man was arrested and booked into the King County Jail.
