Most medical-marijuana delivery services require you to make selections sight unseen (and smell unsmelled). Mr. Nice Guys, a new delivery service in Olympia, has a different idea: They bring choices to your home. Not only can you look at and smell the flowers, you can sample some to make sure you get the medicine you need. And did I mention that they have an eco-friendly bicycle delivery system, and give free Rick Simpson Oil (RSO) to cancer patients within their service area? While I'm well out of Mr. Nice Guys' area, which covers most of Olympia and parts of Lacey, I had the opportunity to visit and talk with proprietor Jeremy last week at the service's Olympia base of operations.

The $8 stuff is completely respectable, and many of the $10 strains would cost $14 or $15 at some shops in town. Besides the premium dried cannabis flowers, Mr. Nice Guys also brings a selection of concentrates, edibles, tinctures, and topicals from which to choose; it creates a great feeling of empowerment to have these options available.
Grapefruit Kush: A strong indica for just $9 a gram
After looking at almost all the strains and sampling a couple, I zeroed in on a few favorites, including Blueberry Skunk, an absolutely delicious $10 strain which combines the pungent aroma of Skunk with a fruity blueberry taste. This hybrid combines pleasant, euphoric mental effects with effective pain relief, and it sticks around awhile.
Also extremely worthwhile is the $9 Grapefruit Kush (Grapefruit x BC Kush), with a flavor halfway between citrus and hash and a nice, fruity bouquet. But unless you're accustomed to strong indicas, you might want to save Grapefruit Kush for nighttime.
Even the $8 strains are worth investigating. Africa's Heart, an energetic sativa, is a great morning smoke; it can zap your nausea with a few tokes. Also great for nausea and pain is Beaver Dawg, a high-CBD (5 percent) strain with a low-enough THC level (2 percent) to make it a good choice for medicating when business has to be conducted.
