That's the story hitting the wire this morning, as Lewis County Sheriff's deputies arrested said drunken 19-year-old shortly after 1 a.m. Friday morning after receiving calls from family members saying he was disorderly and had decked a 5-month-old German Shepherd in the face. Family members also told authorities the suspect threw the dog against a tree.
When Lewis County Sheriff's deputies arrived on the scene, the found the 19-year-old in the street, who, according to Q13, was "drunk and agitated."
According to Q13:
Family members said the teen was out of control and had punched the German Shepherd puppy in the face. They also said they believed the puppy had been thrown against a tree.
When deputies found the dog, they saw it had one eye that was extremely swollen and that she was limping. Deputies then brought the dog to a veterinary clinic where an examination determined it had injuries consistent with head trauma. The dog's leg was not broken and she was kept overnight for observation.
According to Q13, the agitated suspect was booked into Lewis County Jail on suspicion of first-degree animal cruelty. As you might suspect, dude is also being investigated for underage possession of alcohol.
