What do we make of all this? Is it possible the Kings could relocate to Virginia Beach? Sure, it's possible. Perhaps even more possible than skeptics (like me) are willing to acknowledge.
But still ... It's Virginia Fucking Beach. However you cut it, the idea still seems like a long shot -- and probably more about current Kings ownership gaining leverage with a more alluring town (like, say, Anaheim) than anything else.
As it turns out, not everyone is buying Anaheim as a possible destination for the Kings, or even buying the idea that the Kings are leaving Sacramento sometime soon.

Sorry pal but three teams in the Hollywood media market will be just as successful as three baseball teams in New York City and we all know how that turned out! For Anaheim, its Clippers or bust and good luck on that one!
Nobody is going to be stupid or desperate (except for Virginia Beach it seems but of course, they won't get a team) enough to take the Maloof brothers as owners which means the Maloofs are stuck in Sacramento for the foreseeable future until either...
a) They get their heads out of their butts and start putting together winning teams on the courts again like the old days which would make the other cities stand up and take notice.
b) The Maloof brothers are actually stupid enough to move to a place far away from their west coast homes.
c) More places become desperate and stupid like Virginia Beach seems to be (yeah, right).
d) The Maloof brothers get into the same financial problems that Chris Cohan had and thus are forced to sell the team.
