Good news, Seattle! Folks may joke about the casualness with which you dress - what, with your offices full of jeans-wearing professionals and grown-out facial hair - but at least you're not Philadelphia, Pa. or Hartford, Conn.
As the surprisingly official survey describes, "At Experian Simmons we ask our survey respondents if they bought any sweats in the last 12 months, as well as the number of individual items they purchased, and for the second year in a row, the nation's top per capita consumer of sweats is Philadelphia, PA."
Of course, it's easy to make fun of Philly for its sweatpants consumption, but a few of the cities that make the list may surprise you. The Big Apple came in at number seven, for instance, and Los Angeles followed close behind at number eight.
The best news of all for Seattle: We didn't even make the list!
Of course, when the sure-to-follow Experian survey of flannel and ugly North Face gear consumption comes out, we could be in trouble.
