The New Approach Washington campaign for Initiative 502 is in full swing, and starting tomorrow two new TV commercials will attempt to add a law enforcement punch to the pro-I-502 argument.

I-502 and Medical Marijuana: Sorting Through the Confusion
As noted by the Associated Press earlier today, the ads feature former U.S. attorneys for Western Washington John McKay and Kate Pflaumer, along with Charles Mandigo, the former special agent in charge of the FBI's office in Seattle. McKay is a sponsor of I-502.

Already having taken the case for I-502 to area soccer moms, the commercials are the latest attempt by New Approach Washington to sell the legalization, regulation and taxation of marijuana use for people over 21 years of age to the mainstream masses.
Will the approach work? We won't know for sure until November, but so far signs point to it being an effective tactic.
