Lt. Governor Candidate Bill Finkbeiner and Nirvana Bassist Krist Novoselic Make a Music Video

Republican Lt. Governor candidate Bill Finkbeiner is no stranger to thinking outside the box. He also, apparently, knows a thing or two about what it takes to inspire media hacks like me to craft blog posts including his latest campaign music video. The answer: Nirvana bassist Krist Novoselic.

As I first saw on The Capitol Record blog, Finkbeiner and Novoselic (who's no stranger to Seattle Weekly) released the lo-fi video today, slightly bastardizing the county tune"I've Been Everywhere," and utilizing still photos of Finkbeiner crisscrossing the state on the campaign trail.

While the video doesn't actually depict Finkbeiner and Novoselic playing the song, it does feature Finkbeiner's vocal talents and Novoselic's bass and guitar work. The video was also apparently recorded by legendary Seattle producer Jack Endino -- upping the coolness factor just that much more.

A comment attached to the video on YouTube purportedly from Novoselic states: "Vote For Bill!!! It's me playing bass and a? "Hello Kitty" Fender Squire Guitar."

Finkbeiner apparently knows Novoselic from the Nirvana bassist's work for electoral reform.

But enough with the words. Check the video below:
